Here is the first teaser image to come out for the Creative Recreation photoshoot that I did recently in Kenya. This for sure one of my highlights from last year. It'll probably be a while till more of this stuff comes out, because my stuff that I shot earlier in the year from Cairo still has been fully released!

I know I am always apologizing for being bad at updates, but lemme do it again just in case you forgot. I've been globetrotting a bit, and recently I went to Paris, recently meaning I was there for just a day for no real reason, I wasn't even shooting, but anyway, This trip just made me once again realize how much I don't like it there. I was going to write some random hate crap about Paris and all that. After thinking about it though, there are many things I do like about it as well, that makes me look past the snotty attiudes and the rudeness I encoutner evertime I am there. I obviously have my love for Daft Punk and the Ed Banger crew, and of course there is one of my favorite Dj's that hails from there Kavinsky ( thank you Mykal and the fake rich crew for always being able to capture my best angle, here's also a photo I shot of Gaspard Auge from Justice I shot the other day over at Busy P from Ed Bangers Bday party before the little incident with security)

There is also my buddies that hail from the other areas of france, like my buddy Maxime from 55dsl (seriously the coolest person I know, well second to his wife), and of course the Crew from the creative group The Satisfaction, John, Anthony, and of course Pierre (my three stooges of euorpe). Anyway, the reason of me thinking about my parisian cohorts, is that the look book and billboards I did for Creative Recreation in Paris is finally out. I didn't even know the billboards went up yet till I was crusing about town yesterday with my little brother, and we saw one up on Melrose. This is a pretty bad pic, i'll stick another one up here soon, I was driving and the light was green when we saw it and my brother scrambled to grab my camera. Its always pretty insane when I see my stuff up like this. The books are pretty insane as well. So matte, so glossy, so cool! Probably one of the best print jobs I have ever scene!

One of my favorite acts of recent time has been the band Ra Ra Riot. My buddy Adrian from Revolt Marketing who worked with them recently on one of their tours told me about them and said that they were a band I would totally be into. As usual, I harassed him, and belittled him, and when he wasn't looking I stole his ipod and listened to them, and was blown away, then as fate would have it, I was actually able to meet up with them at SXSW earlier this year. They were so nice and cool, and we have a ton of mutual friends, so after that we went on our way. Well, fast forward a few months later we were all able to hook up again, this time in San Diego while they are on tour with Death Cab for Cutie. The guys over at Creative Recreation don't know this, but the reason why I came home when I did Egypt was to make sure to catch thier show, shhhhh....

So I'm finally back and home for longer than a week, I'm actually home for a whopping 14 days, and then I am off to Columbus Ohio for Rock on the Range. Anyway, I was out in Cairo shooting the latest installment of my world tour lookbooks for Creative Recreation. Its going to be a while before these will be able to be to available for viewing. The Paris books and images are actually going up now, hopefully I'll have some of that up on the site in a few days.

Cairo was a pretty unbelievable place, I got to see so many incredible things. The Pyramids, The Sphinx, tons of temples, and alot of stuff on the Nile. Cairo, was always one of those places that I've always wanted to go, but out of the excitement of wanting to go to a place that was strange and foreign to me and its been a general rule for me for the last couple of years that I don't really travel anywhere unless its work related, so when it came time to decide where to go for this shoot I jumped at the chance to make it Egypt.
The food was actually pretty good, and the people were awesome. I ate at some pretty nice places and I ate at some pretty shady spots and I must say I was pretty into it. Getting to ride a camel to work for a couple of days was a pretty surreal experience as well, seeing things from so high up is so different, I wonder if thats how the dwarf felt in that jewish story about the Dwarf that could see the fartest because he stood on the shoulders of a giant. I dunno why I just thought of that, so random. Even more random is this dwarf that sits on the shoulders of this giant. Anyway I'm pretty tired and jet lagged right now, so I'll post up more about this later, I'm going to try and get on a regular sleep scheduele now.

Last nights Creative Recreation party was awesome! More photos up soon. It was in celebration with Barney's of Creative's new Italian shoe line that I actually shot a few months ago... I actually forgot that I just shot all that stuff up until now, I seriously need to sleep more.

Today I am off to Paris! This is my first time, and I'm super excited. I really have no idea what to expect. All I know is that no matter what, its going to be a crazy one and hopefully I don't go nuts shopping.
