so today I was off down south to do some work for my dudes over at Skullcandy with pro skater Pierre Luc Gagnon, or PLG as I guess most people call him. I didn't know too much about the guy to be honest with you, but when I asked my buddy Dylan over at Oakley all he said back was Woah, so I took that as a good thing. Anyway this is a pretty rough shot, that I just nabbed, because I don't really wanna spill the beans before the images drop. Anyway this shoot was pretty rushed and I was pretty bummed, because Pierre didn't have all that much time available to him, because of doctors appointments and things like that. So anyway I shot a bunch of photos and was bummed, he said that we could shoot again soon with more time available. Anyway he took I off, and I realized that he lives super close to DC Shoes, so I stopped by to visit and spend some time with them, because I hadn't been down there since I went to shoot the women's look book. During my visit, Pierre hit me up saying that he got out early and that if I was still around we could shoot more, so I went back and we were able to get a ton of much better shots. I'm pretty lucky that I like to dilly dally around alot, other wise I would have taken off and would have to have driven all the way back down to Carlsbad another day.

Anyway, here is a photo that I saw randomly that I shot with the new Mike Shinoda shoe from DC, Mike is actually wearing the shoe in this, believe it or not.

This is one of my most recent ads I did for Skullcandy with Christian Hosoi. I've seen it all over the place I'm pretty happy that the Skullcandy guys have been really pushing it. Its crazy to see the same ad in mags over and over again. I'm pretty use to getting my work out there in the mags and all that, but its crazy to see them using the same image again and again, especially when I know they have other stuff coming in. Its just cool to know they like my stuff that much.

So after my last post about Coachella, I found a bunch of other pics from SXSW that I totally forgot to post earlier. It kind of sucks that these are all kind of old news, but oh well I guess, its better than nothing I suppose. SXSW was pretty cool, I wasn't really able to see that many "new" cool bands. I mainly saw a bunch of more established acts which kind of sucks and takes away from the discovering new bands aspect of SXSW, but i guess thats what you get when you go to these things for work. It was pretty cool to be able to see Pharrell Williams and N.E.R.D. a couple of times. I got to meet up and hang out with a ton of artists here are a couple that I found on this camera, A-track, David Banner, and Del the Funky Homosapien.

So our Mykal my pal over at Fake Rich made these a while back and being the lazy bumm I am I never made a post about it now. Anyway, he made these very limited edition color way headphones with Skullcandy. They are pretty sweet, and everytime I am out and his Djs are wearing these, all people keep asking me is when they are coming out. Well, my answer is , never! these are limited edition and sweet, now all I need to do is to get my hands on a pair.

Miami is already a pretty ridiculous place, it is also home to one of my favorite shows C.S.I, and when you throw Winter music conference into the mix, woah, lets just say I had to try really really hard to refrain from being a really bad guy. I got the oppertunity to hit up a ton of events with Y.O.O.K.S. as well as my buddy Charlie from Skullcandy. While I was out there we ran into a bunch of friends like Tiffany and Tachi from back home. Tiff is was looking a little too good for her own good out there. Here is Tachi and I kickin it with the Frank 151 crew. They honestly produce one of the best publications out there. Its so funny that this one little book can do it so right where everyone sucks so much. One of these days I would love to do something with them, but till then, I'm still pretty satisfied with being a super fan. So outside of hanging out with friends and stuff I ended up busting my foot outthere. it was terrible. I would post a photo of it, but it looks really gross, so here for the world to see is an artists redition of my foot in all it's glory. Gross. Well out there we ran into many
other notables, like Craze, Xavier and Gasbarre from Justice, the Crystal Method, and a bunch more that I am too tired to remember.

After all the shenanigans this year I'm not sure if i'll be able to make it out next year, or if they'll even let us back, but all I know is thanks to Y.O.O.K.S. we came up in a big way!

So this is my latest installment in my Series of Franco Shade ads with artist Arlo Eisenburg that should be hitting the magazines soon. This time we shot Dj's Dan Sena and GMO, who are the resident dj's every Wedsday over at the Detroit bar in Costa Mesa with their weekly party Busy Werk. Congrats to GMO for being recently added to The Skullcandy DJ crew. I don't think I have ever seen him not rocking his Skullcandy SK pro head phones, this ad included.

I just got back from a much needed trip to Utah. I finally got a chance to visit the new Skullcandy offices and It is really amazing how much they have grown since my last visit. I also got to take a peep at some of the new ads that they are using some of my work for featuring DGK's Stevie Williams. The portraits are by me, and the action photos are by Matt Daughters. I'm pretty excited, and I think I am actually going to be shooting quite a bit more for these guys which makes me pretty happy. I have to admit that I actually really like it in Utah, well at least Park City and Salt Lake, I'm not so sure about everywhere else, but I've never really had a bad time there. I'm definetely going to be back out for Sundance.

Well, I've been in up north in the bay area for the last couple of days and have had a really great time seeing alot of family and friends. I wasn't originally going to come up here till Thursday for the RVCA SF store opening party, but the guys from Skullcandy convinced me to come up for the Icer Air event in the the Giants stadium. I've been waiting all year for this event. I'm really really excited.

Before Icer Air, I have never been to a Ski or Snowboarding contest. I have to admit it was actually alot cooler than I thought it was going to be. I got to meet a bunch of people that are on the Skullcandy Ski team as well as thier team manager who was a extremely cool guy, and I really look forward with working with him again in the future. I also got to chill a bit with Andreas Wiig who I shot last month and had no idea who he was until after the shoot and was super cool. I really think he is an awesome guy and I was actually really sad when he didn't win. I normally don't get bummed at sporting events, because I am really not interested in sports, but Andreas is an amazingly nice person, I think even the guy that came in first was bummed he did, because Andreas Wigg is that awesome. I am honestly excited that I am going to be spending alot of this winter on the snow.

Today I had a photo shoot with DGK and Reebok Skater Stevie Williams for Skullcandy. Stevie was ridiculously nice and his dad who was at the shoot as well as really cool. I was really happy about the turn out, and I was really happy that it was on the street as opposed to the studio. I have been shooting a ton of in studio catalog stuff and it has really been bumming me out. So it was nice to be outside for the afternoon. It was cool to find out the Stevie was a fan of the show NBC Heroes, because my buddy James is on the show, I would have never thought he would be into it, but I thought that was pretty cool.

My pals over at Franco Shade and Dj's GMO and Dan Sena are putting on a pretty sweet Halloween Party over at the Detroit bar in Costa Mesa. I usually don't make it out to alot of stuff, but there are too many good things happening at this one, and I know way too many people working on this one to miss out. GMO and Dan have a regular night over at the Detroit called Busy Work, which is actually a pretty good night, tons of rad people go, and they have some pretty awesome bands come through and play. Earlier this month it was their night that Datarock came to play, and I also saw Har Mar Superstar and Modrocket play there after a RVCA party that they played.

So today is my last day out here in sunny Salt Lake City. It has been really great, I had and amazing time thanks to every one over at Skullcandy, and to Justin Benee and Stevie Bell. Everyone was super cool. The guys over at Skullcandy gave me this crazy gum called Stay Alert, apparently the military made this chewing gum with caffeine in it, that absorbs into your body super fast. It really worked, it was nuts. Something I did learn though was that:

I've learned my lesson

So I'm out today with Skullcandy and LRG for LRG's annual photoshoot/party in NYC. It was pretty nuts. I was also excited today, because I got to pull out some new kicks I got from my pal Colin Bickley over at Pony .
They are pretty sweet, and pretty much one of my favorite pairs that I have gotten this year. Any way, I met up with Brad and Ben from Skullcandy over at some club down town where we met up Roxy Cottentail tell her about the LRG party. After a while of chilling at the club I had to get a bite to eat so I went over to the Ray's Pizza off of Broadway, to grab a slice and I happened to run into The Decemberists, which was pretty awesome as well as being random. Anyway, the next day, I first went over to LRG's NYC office to pick up some loot and then went to the location of where the shoot was, which was this pretty incredible 3 story penthouse with a pool on the top floor. I have no idea how many people were their, but all I know was that it was pretty packed, with about 200 people on the ground floor just trying to get in. Photographer Michael Greenberg shot this pretty funny pic of me that was on display on his wall of Polaroids. while I was there I got to hang out with some pretty rad guys like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Just Blaze, and Sirus radio dj, Lil' Shaun.

I'm not sure if I've ever had a larger craving for chocolate

Well, Summer's here, the Warped Tour has begun, and I am busier than ever. I've been out with the Skullcandy mixed tent on the tour and it's pretty awesome. Brad and the Skullcandy crew put together this pretty awesome tent for the tour with acts participating like comedian Jimmy Mar, The Street Drum Corps, as well as the break dancing troupe the Massive Monkeys.

everything is was going on really well, until we hit our Salt Lake City date and I got super sick. Too much sun I suppose. I was pretty stoked that I got to meet the guys over at Zuriick Clothing . On top of being awesome dudes, they also hooked me up with a bunch of loot, one tee in particular has to be one of my favorite tees right now Another good thing about being in Salt Lake was that I got to meet all of the Skullcandy Crew which was pretty rad. They are all a pretty cool bunch, I actually think I got a bunch of stuff done while I was there the first day, the second not so much, they had a super cute temp receptionist come in that day... quite distracting.

RVCA recently put up a bunch of photos I shot on their website from their SAKURABAGOMI event on their site. The nite was really fun and its always good to see the gals from Mod Rocket when they are in town. I believe Lemonade Magazine is going to publish some of the photos which is pretty rad.

The RVCA San Fransisco store should be opening up soon, I'm really excited to see what it's like. Rich Jacobs moved up there recently, so that in itself is a prtty good reason to go up to the bay on top of the fact that RVCA is opening up a shop there.
